STAINLESS STEEL FINISH

The mechanically shined and polished finishes involve the use of abrasive materials that cut the metal surface to some degree. There are many single-directional finishes. The finishes can be obtained mechanically by using wet or dry polishing bands. To obtain a surface of constant quality, it is necessary to determine polish specifications that include roughness Ra.

COLOR GUIDES

The color range starts with three primary colors: red, blue and yellow. If you mix two of these primary colors in equal proportions, you get a secondary color. Red and yellow make orange, red and blue make purple, and blue and yellow make green.

When mixed in equal proportions one of these secondary colors with the primary color closest to it, a tertiary color is formed. So if you mix blue and green you obtain turquoise, yellow and green obtain yellowish green.

Among the colors we can have different tonalities. If you add white paint to a pure color you get a tint, if you add black paint, you get a shade.

The color wheel, which is the name of the wheel or menu of colors, can be divided in half. On one side are the warm colors: red, orange, apricot, peach, terracotta, gold, warm brown, tanned plum, some warm purples and lilacs. On the opposite side are the cool colors: blue, green, jade, turquoise, mint, yellow-green, gold green, cold blue and purple lilacs.

To help us determine an exact color, there are various color guides, which are: PANTONE, RAL, Hex Color Codes...

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE OF MATERIALS

The different materials (plastics, elastomers, metals, nonmetals ...) have a specific behavior when placed in contact with different chemicals; they may not produce any effect, or they may produce a mild or moderate effect, or even a severe effect.

When choosing materials one must bear in mind what products will be in contact with them.
